Any form of alcoholic beverage (distilled spirits, wine, and malt drinks) may be picked up and delivered in Kentucky with the help of a Kentucky ABC transporter's license, as well as driven through Kentucky with a cargo of alcoholic beverages. KRS 243.200(1). Each common carrier or business must submit an application and have their own license. A broker and another common carrier cannot share a license.
A Kentucky permit expressly permits licensees to transport alcoholic drinks from one wet area via a dry or moist area to another wet area within the same state or to another area outside the state where alcoholic beverages may be legally sold. The circumstances under which a licensee may legally transport alcoholic drinks depend on the sort of license that licensee has.
